Recpie for Carrot Beans Thoran /Carrot Beans Stir Fry
Ingredients :
Carrot : 1/2 cup (chopped)
Beans : 1/2 cup (chopped)
Green chillies : 2-3
Grated coconut : 1/4 cup
Mustard Seed : 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves: 1 sprig
Urad Daal : 1/4 tsp(optional)
Oil :2 tbsp
Salt for taste
Method of Preparation :
1. Wash and chop the carrot & beans into smal pieces and mix well.
2. Heat oil in a pan when its hot, add the mustards and urud daal when the mustard starts to sputter.
3. Add curry leaves,chopped carrots,chopped beans and salt and green chilli,Stir and mix evenly.
4. Sprinkle some water and cover the vessel. (Note : This will help in boiling the vegetables easily). Boil the vegetables for 3-5 minutes.
5. Once the beans,carrot are done, add the grated coconut and reduce the flame to low and mix well…Serve hot with rice.

Pictures are wonderful. Hats off to your photography , blogging and cooking skills. My recipe of thoran goes with a coarsely ground mixture of garlic (two cloves), cumin seeds and grated coconut. Today im planning to make your recipe of moru curry.
